Immunisation Nurses Special Interest Group (INSIG)
INSIG is a professional body of the Australian Nursing Federation (ANF Vic Branch) that was established in 2004 to support Nurses working in Immunisation Practice. INSIG aims to provide a forum that facilitates communication, discussion and encourages professional development for immunisation nurses in the State of Victoria.
Our Objectives
To promote recognition of immunisation nurses as a professional Nursing speciality and raise public awareness of the profession.
To facilitate professional development within the S.I.G. and immunisation industry by organising guest speakers, seminars and workshops.
To provide peer support and an environment in which immunisation nurses can network, exchange knowledge and seek information
To investigate issues of concern and make recommendations.
To promote special research and special projects in the area of immunisation
To liaise with immunisation bodies and government departments on issues related to immunisation services
To continue to work in close liaison with the Australian Nursing Federation (ANF Vic Branch)
